srchout Software is a software development company with offices in London, Singapore, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai. For the purposes of data protection law we are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
If you have a question about this notice or want to exercise a right under it, contact sudhanshu@srchoutsoftware.com.
We collect only what we need in order to respond to you and to deliver our services:
We use personal data to reply to your enquiry and provide a proposal, to deliver and support services under a contract with you, to improve this website and understand which pages are useful, to comply with legal and accounting obligations, and to consider you for a role where you have applied. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Where we respond to an enquiry or perform a contract, our basis is performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering one. Where we analyse site usage or send occasional updates to existing clients, our basis is legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. Where consent is required — non-essential cookies, for example — we ask for it and you can withdraw it at any time.
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after 24 months. Client records are retained for the life of the engagement and then for seven years, to meet accounting and legal obligations. Recruitment data is kept for 12 months unless you ask us to keep it longer for future roles. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form.
Our systems are hosted in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Singapore and India depending on the service. Where personal data moves between these, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. Client project data is held in the region agreed with that client and is never moved without instruction.
Encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access limited to those who need it, multi-factor authentication on internal systems, dependency and vulnerability scanning, audit logging and tested backups. No system is completely secure, but we can tell you exactly what protections apply to your data and we will notify you and the relevant regulator without undue delay if a breach affects you.
We use essential cookies to make the site work and analytics cookies to understand which pages are useful. Analytics cookies are set only with your consent and you can withdraw it at any time through your browser settings. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
Subject to local law you have the right to:
Our services are not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We update this notice when our practices change. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision, and material changes are notified to active clients directly rather than only posted here.
Questions, requests and complaints: sudhanshu@srchoutsoftware.com, or write to srchout Software, Vintage House, 37 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7TL, United Kingdom. We respond to rights requests within one month.
